We can imitate
Mary day by day
We can imitate Mary’s
example by practicing the following virtues.
· her faith
and her docile acceptance of God’s word
· her generous obedience (See Luke 1:38);
· her simple
humility (See Luke 1:48);
· her thoughtful charity (See Luke 1:39-56);
· her reflective wisdom (See
Luke 1:29-34);
· her piety towards God, attentive in fulfilling her
religious obligations (See Luke 2:21-41)
· her gratitude for the gifts received (See
Luke 1:46-49);
·
her strength in exile (See Matthew 2:13-23); and in sorrow
(See Luke 2:34-35 y John 19:25);
· carrying her want with dignity and
confidence in the Lord (See Luke 1:48; 2:24);
· vigilant care for her Son,
from the humility of his birth through the humiliation of
the cross (See Luke 2:1-7; John 19:25-27);
· her insightful delicacy (See John 2:1-11);
·
her virginal
purity (See Matthew 1:18- 25; Luke 1:26-28)
So we can see
Mary is a close and reachable model. Each day we
can become more like her, in our ordinary life, as
one of her good children.
