Hail Mary
I greet you and I love to say your name….
Hail
I greet you with all my love and with
much joy in my heart. Hail, Blessed. And bless us,
children of the Blessed among women. All your children around
the world, in the large cities, in the valleys and
mountains of the five continents greet you daily when they
pray the Hail Mary. I unite myself to that chorus
of loving and happy children, O Blessed Mother. Yes, a
thousand times blessed for ever. Hail….
Mary
I love to say your name because it
belongs to you: Mary, Virgin Mary, Holy Mary. Your name
has established beautiful churches in cities and mountains. Youths, adults
and children pronounce your name with great love and tenderness;
millions of women in the Christian world carry your name
with holy pride. They love you and want to be
like you. We really need many Maries in our world
who have a heart like yours. Blessed Mary, look at
us with your precious eyes, your pure eyes like a
dove’s, and fill us with your fragrant presence, your immense
tenderness, your faith, and your love. Hail, Mary….
Full of grace
Vessel overflowing with grace, with God’s
life, with ineffable love, with holiness. More holy and pure
than all the saints, more than cherubim and seraphim. Thus,
the beauty of your soul and of your face is
God’s delight; and our delight too. Knowing that our Mother
is so holy, so beautiful, so pure, and so simple
fills us with great joy. With these words the angel,
awed by the beauty of your soul greeted you: Full
of grace. Hail Mary, full of grace….
The Lord is with thee
This phrase in the
Bible always comes after the “Do not be afraid.” From
the moment of your birth God has been with you,
because he cared for you as His precious pearl, his
exquisite rose. With his holy hands He prepared you from
an early age to be His holy Mother. All the
infinite love of God caring for a flower called Mary.
He was with you in your infancy, caring for the
most beautiful, holy, and loved girl. He cared for you
during your adolescence preparing your soul and your blessed and
holy body to become a mother.
The Lord
is with thee: This was addressed to you by an
archangel, who knew what he was saying. God was with
you during your pregnancy, within your womb, becoming a child
for love of us. He was with you during all
your life in this world. And you were with Him.
You were mother, new Eve, co-redemptress. He was with you
on the cross, dying next to you. You were also
with Him, until he died on the tree and went
from the dead arms of the cross to the living
and loving arms of his mother. He was with you
in your years of solitude, sanctifying his loving mother, that
you would reach heaven bright as the sun and white
as the moon. He is and will be with you
for all eternity in heaven. Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee….
Blessed art thou
amongst women
Who is Eve compared to you? What
are all the women of the earth in contrast with
you? You are the perfect and unique image of the
woman he wished to create. Therefore, women, if bearing the
name of Mary, at least should become a Mary, be
like you who are the most precious model of the
Christian woman. Wanting to be called like you is a
good choice. But to be like you must be their
ideal. You are the model of a girl and a
woman, the adorable model of a mother and wife. Because
you went through all the phases of growth of a
woman, teaching us how it is possible to be a
great woman, a holy woman, an apostle of Jesus, and,
moreover, a joyful woman….
With scarce means, a humble
home, but one where God lived, and, where God is,
nothing is lacking. Mary’s poor home was rich in love,
holiness, happiness.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord
is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women….
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Blessed the flower; blessed
also the fruit. Jesus the loved one of the Father
has been born from you, as the rose from the
rosebush. The rose belongs to the rosebush. Jesus belongs to
you, he is yours, your son, the fruit of you
most pure womb.
And you belong to Jesus;
you are all Jesus’, since He, besides being your son,
is your all-powerful God, of whom you consider yourself a
maidservant.
Jesus and you are ours also. Jesus, because
you gave him to us, in a unique and merciful
gesture of love…. And you belong to us because he
made you Mother, our Mother. Among the words you always
meditate in your heart are these: “Here is your son,
here is your mother.” For us this phrase makes up
a whole gospel, good news. If Jesus is ours, if
Mary is ours, what difficulty can defeat us? How little
do we dare to live joyfully when we have been
given the keys to happiness, complete and eternal happiness!
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,
blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary
Yes,
your name is Mary, holy, most holy is your name;
the characteristic that always accompanies your name. Thus, your name
gives us great joy and also engenders great respect.
Holy Mary, sweet Mary, you are an awesome garden where
the most beautiful flowers grow.
Golden shoot overflowing
with fruit, mystical rose, perfumed and purer than all the
roses in the world.
Holy Mary, sweet mother, pure
Virgin, most beautiful Queen, lowly peasant in the loving land
of Nazareth.
Mother of God
We love you as our Mother and venerate you
as the Mother of God, unsurpassed greatness that ennobles you
and fills us with holy pleasure, because our Mother is
also Mother of God.
Such high privilege required a
virgin Mother, a holy virgin, a martyr of the soul,
a creature full of grace, a most humble maidservant of
the Lord, capable of saying: “Be it done to me
according to your word.”
How were you able to
possess, at the same time, the maximum greatness and the
most delicate and profound humility? God considered you worthy to
be his mother. He chose to become the Son of
your womb. He who can do everything made you great,
and you became small like a maidservant in total service
of your Lord. Mother and maidservant of the Lord.
As the Mother of God you instill in me an
awesome respect; as the maidservant of the Lord, an immeasurable
affection.
Pray for us, sinners
We are
your sinful children. We are your prodigal sons who have
been through the paths of sin and tedium. We were
children of a sinful mother before being accepted by an
Immaculate Mother.
Implore your omnipotent Son, you who are
the supplicant power. Plead always that the father of lies
doesn’t fool us. Tell Jesus that we don’t have wine,
that our joy and love are gone. When we collapse
from exhaustion and pain, request for us the miracle of
the resurrection.
He who said he was the
resurrection and the life is your Son. He who said
he was the Truth and the Life calls you Mother.
Then, implore him to grant us the resurrection and the
life.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for
us, sinners….
Now...
Today, the day we have
the possibility of holiness or sin. Today, a day full
of concerns. The only day we have in our hands.
May we permeate it with love and goodness.
Right now, free us from falling into temptation. That today
we may know how to love our neighbors, that we
may not harden our heats, that we may hear the
voice of the Holy Spirit.
Now, at this present
moment, that constantly passes. Today, that today we may love
and become holy, that we may be instruments of the
peace that comes from Jesus. Today, in this small portion
of our life that is the present day.
And at the hour of our death. Amen
In
that very moment in which our eternal salvation is at
play. On that last day may we know to say
our last “I love you” in this world, that we
may repeat it forever in the next life.
Pray
for those who at that moment are not prepared for
death, that if they didn’t live in grace, they may
die in the grace of God and not depart to
eternal pain. Pray for the children whose first day of
life is also the day of their terrible death. In
the same way that you obtained from the good thief
the sorrow for his sins on the day of his
death, obtain that same grace for the worst of sinners,
that they may accept your Son. Unite your maternal goodness
to God’s mercy, and save them from the clutches of
Satan, from eternal damnation.
Pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.
